Functions
The Department is responsible for the administration of: examinations for induction into the Public Service, public corporations and commercial partnerships in which the State has majority shareholding, intra-Service written Examinations; examinations for the issue of local Licences; examinations on behalf of their parties.
The Department also acts as agent for Local and Overseas Examining Bodies responsible for the award of Academic, Vocational and Professional Qualifications.

We are open from Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 5.00pm between 1 October and 15 June and from 8.00am to 1.00pm between 16 June and 30 September.
Cash Hours
We are open from Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 12.00noon and from 13.30pm to 16.00pm between 1 October and 15 June and from 8.00am to 12.30pm between 16 June to 30 September.
