ABSTRACT of Thesis by
Baldacchino Veronica

The education of children with autism continues to provide a challenge for their parents and various professionals involved. This case study outlines the challenges a young student with autism encounters in an inclusive setting. Diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder with difficulties of communication and reciprocal social interaction, the study involves the observation of the child in class, the use of semi-structured interviews with the boy’s past and present teachers and facilitators as well as with parents of the child.
