The Primary School at Dingli was founded in1858 with a population of only 30 girls using the Parish Domus as its premises. The school mistress was Ms. Carmela Bonello. In 1875 the school took in 10 boys. These children were taught Maltese, English, Arithmetic, Catechism and Needlework for girls. In 1903 the school moved to 17, Main Street, occupying premises newly built for this purpose. The 8 classrooms are still being used today. In the same year, Mr. Guze Ebejer was appointed Head of School, and he held this position for 35 fruitful years thus earning the honour of having this village school called after him. In the early 1960's a new wing housing 12 more classrooms and a hall were built. A Kindergarten class with 23 children was opened in1975.

Miss Mary Chircop, the present Head of School, Mr. Joseph Gatt, Assistant Head and the teaching staff believe in a holistic education where the children's personality is developed to its full potential through academic subjects and extra-curricular activities like sports, art, drama and participation in radio and television programmes. As from October 2001 the school has benefited from the services of the Special Educational Needs team who help individual children and support the whole school on special themes. We are also one of the 6 Maltese schools participating in the Club Hilti where the Foundation For Educational Services is giving specialized help in literacy and numeracy to our children and their parents.
