The present Primary School is situated in part of the original building which was built in1955. Originally the part which is now used by the Boys' Secondary School was the Primary School for boys. The Girls' Primary School was situated on the present Primary School premises. The top floor on the main entrance side was used by a special school for children with visual and hearing impairment.

For quite a number of years the Primary was divided into two schools :- School 'A' for Kindergarten and first three primary years and School 'B' was for the second three primary years. In 1996 both schools were integrated.
