Sir Luigi Preziosi Girls' Secondary School is situated in Pembroke (formerly St Andrews). It houses a population of around 350 students aged 11 - 15 who hail from the Sliema-St Julians-San Gwann-Gzira-Msida area.

The school was built by the British in 1908 and until the late 70s served as a primary school for the children of British Services personnel. It was converted to a secondary school for girls in 1979, when Sacred Heart Secondary School and St Louis Grammar School were amalgamated. In 1995 the Sliema Girls' Secondary School closed down and was also integrated with the already existing Sir Luigi Preziosi Girls' Secondary School.

Ideally situated in pleasant surroundings on the main road leading to the Salina Coast Road (opposite the Forum Hotel), the school has a beautiful environment and occupies a fairly large area. It has about 20 spacious and airy classrooms, a multipurpose hall, two large yards and three smaller ones, a recently - refurbished media room, two computer labs, two science labs, two home economics rooms, a technology education room and other special rooms, including ones for art and needlecraft, all fully-equipped with the necessary teaching aids. The library also serves as a public library for the residents of the area. In the Summer months the school is very popular with foreign students who come to Malta to learn English.

Some 40 teachers teach a variety of subjects ranging from the normal core subjects to special options including Home Economics, Needlecraft, Graphical Communication, Art, Biology, Business Studies and Technology Education. The school curriculum also includes a weekly Creative Atfernoons session during which teachers and students alike indulge in creative and performing activities which serve to highlight the students' practical abilities.
