• The objectives for which the Association is established are:

• To promote the advancement of Science education in Malta;

• To promote interest and support for Science education, collaboratively and proactively throughout society;

• To foster educational, professional, social, and cultural interest among its members;

• To provide and expand professional development to support standards-based Science education;

• To serve as the voice for excellence and innovation in Science teaching and learning, curriculum, instruction and assessment;

• To serve as a locus of discussion, sharing of resources and coordination of work;

• To contribute to the achievement of school pupils by provision of opportunities for enrichment activities;

• To exemplify a dynamic organisation that values and practices self-renewal;

• To serve as a bridge between Science educators and the industry.

• Partecipazzjoni annwali fil-konferenza internazzjonali organizzata minn Euroclio – li fiha l-HTA hi membru shih. Euroclio hi l-Assocjazzjoni tal-Edukaturi tal-Istorja u tigbor fiha ghaqdiet ta’ edukaturi tal-isotrja mill-Ewropa kollha.

• Organising activities that help promote the French language and culture among teachers and students;

• Organising cultural and social activities for teachers;

• Keeping the association's website updated to provide pedagogical material for teachers, exercises and activities for students, information about France and French culture, useful links, etc.;

• Organising pedagogical courses for teachers (in collaboration with the Centre Franco-Maltais and the French Embassy); and

• Keeping in touch with other French Teachers’ Associations such as the International Federation of Teachers of French (FIPF – Fédération Internationale des Professeurs de Français).

• Act as a support group for PSD teachers

• Encourage activities and initiatives that are related to PSD

• Promote contemporary issues/topics related to PSD

• Promote information on the delivery of PSD

• Organize meetings, conferences, discussions, outings and other activities that are of interest to the members of the association and their guests

• Organize activities directly related to PSD for students and parents

• Help in the distribution of books, videos, software and resources on the subject

• Help in the production of material useful for the delivery of PSD

• Make PSD resources available to its members.

• C.O.B.S promotes a culture of sharing and collaboration amongst members, learning together and from each other, and it provides a platform for its members to share and discuss key issues in an open, democratic and trusting atmosphere.

• COBS will operate on the principles of Circle Time and will seek to provide a circle of support for practitioners in their work.

• Lectures for teachers of Geography

• Fieldwork / Excursions also open to the general public

• Circulation / publication of resource material regarding teaching or content of geography

• Membership in Eurogeo (European Geography teachers association)

• Participation in conferences of Eurogeo

• Dissemination of geographical awareness among the general public
